Shani Crawford Visits from Colorado!

My sweet friend, Shani Crawford, came to visit for a few days this week.  She came in yesterday and got to see Jacob's pinewood derby and then we are working on crafts today.  I am have been so excited to show her the sights around Texas and just to spend girl time, playing together.  It is nice for Shani to see my new home so she can picture where I am and so that I can tell her stories and she can picture what I am talking about.  We are planning on going to Hutchings BBQ tomorrow evening to get Shani some Texas grub.  Great times with a great friend.  ♥

Friday Fun

This morning Ellie, Ryan and I went visiting teaching and then to the Melissa library for story time.  My kids thoroughly enjoy my visiting teaching visits because they love friends and they get to play with new toys!  Ellie just made herself at home with the Downie family this morning.  I secretly took this picture because it cracked me up to see her sitting with her friends and looking so pleased with herself.

After visiting teaching we went to story time and learned all about workers.  There were a couple of visitors from the City of Melissa.  They brought one of their work trucks and did a small demonstration for the kids.  We also got to make these nifty tool belts!

Saturday....

Hannah was invited to a birthday party today.  Afterwards we stopped by Freddy's for some delicious food, since it was sort of close to where we were at.  Mmmmm....  When we went in we couldn't take our eyes off of this truck that was blinged out with ornaments and flags.  It was crazy!  It was the closest picture that I dared to take.

Tonight Brent went to the Priesthood session of conference.  I got the kids bathed and Ryan thought it would be a fun game to run naked for a bit.  Of course, Jacob enjoyed playing with him while he did!
